GL bus driver VS GL Cheena man
I've never seen a more GL bus driver than this. Below is the conversation btw him and a cheena man.

Bus Driver (BD): Pass please!!
Cheena Man (CM): *obviously irritated, reaches into him bag* Nah! *flashes pass quickly and makes his way to the back of the bus*
BD: *very unhappy* Pass please!
CM: *doesn really care/ doesn noe BD referring to him, continues to walk to the back of the bus*
BD: *into the mirror, very angrily to CM* I SAID SHOW ME YOUR PASS, IF NOT PLS GET DOWN THE BUS!!
CM: *very irritated* I SHOWED YOU ALREADY WAD! *flashes pass from the back*
BD: COME HERE AND SHOW IT TO ME
CM: *stomps angrily infront* NAH! Look properly, HAPPY?
BD: YES, show me the FRONT of your pass, not the back.
CM: *mumbles to himself* Crazy man.........

Me: *thinking to myself* Luckily BD never ask me for pass, i would be so paiseh if i were CM.

Little background: CS has 3 buildings in Changi hence all buses makes 3 different stops. Mine's the first. Somehow the bus driver doesn't ask to check any of our passes but will do so at the 2nd & 3rd stops. No idea why though. But i can only say that the bus driver is super GL, even i cannot stand it! No pass will die meh? the bus is NEVER full lar! =_=

US Trip - 17 mile drive
A 17 mile drive down the coast of Monterey. We actually have to pay entrance fees cos the place is privatised. all the houses there are super huge and pretty and all owned by rich ppl who only come to stay in the summer and play golf. below is one of the houses which i managed to get a decent shot of. sheesh, talk about no where to spend their money!!

there are many look out points in this beautiful 17 mile area. but being on tour means we get to only see a few - bird rock, lone cypress (must see) and the pebble beach resort, which hosted many US Opens.

The bird rock. yes, its just a rock with tons on brids on it. and seals/sea lions at the base. i was so duh-ed. nothing amazing but the smell was horrible. eeks

oh but this little thing caught our attention more. at least its not a bird or a seal and its not afraid of ppl! it was so excited to see so many ppl and even ran up to some of us. i was too afraid to take a pic with it so baby did =)

The Lone Cypress - just a 250 yr old tree stuck in the middle of the sea. But to baby its just a big broccoli!! Wahahah~

Pebble Beach resorts. Loads of fresh green grass and we can see the golf course just next to us. Not many ppl playing cos it was rather cold.. Nonetheless, many pictures but i am too lazy to edit all of them. hahaha~

Think it will be much better to drive up here on our own. then we will have more time to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Next: San Fran City!!!

US Trip - Grand Canyon
My second visit to this wonder. and to me, the weather is the wonder. the last time i was there during winter, it was freezing cold. and even snowed! this time it was so hot (40 degrees) i almosted melted in the sun. sheesh~ anyway, the place is as pretty as i remembered it. (yes, rocks can be pretty too) i think we took like 200+ photos! looking at them now, they do look pretty similar. wahaha~

To the top! it was not a easy walk up. lots of climbing and no fencing to hold on to. imagine winter and its all slippery with the snow?!? no wonder ppl fell to their death. the view is superb though.

We gave the helicopter ride a miss and hence had much more time to comb the place with less ppl. the above was taken on the rocks cos there wasn't many ppl around so we almost had the whole place to ourselves =)

Me and the rocks... really looks like i superimposed myself onto postcards...

Enjoying the beautiful view. Pretty rocks.

US Trip - Las Vegas
Away from all the theme parks in LA and welcome to Las Vegas - City which never sleeps... Weather check: Horrible! 28 degrees to a high of 40!! Crazy! But luckily its just dry heat. if its like spore, hot and humid, i will die! wahaha~ Stayed in 4 Queens hotel located downtown. the lights display is way cool cos its on the ceiling! a whole stretch of it!

Famous for its night life and casinos, Vegas is truely a city which never sleeps. no need to worry if you return late cos there are always so many people around. Many activities to do like hotel hopping. Yes hotel hopping... cos casinos are located at the hotel lobbies so hotel hopping to see the casinos and pretty hotels! The hotel above is New york new york as seen from all the NY structures.. There is also Paris, which shows the Eiffel tower and also another one which shows the pyramids. coolness!

Of cos, nothing is as cool as the magic show i caught. Awsome! Steve Wyrick is really charming and good. superb interaction with the audience and lots of "real" magic. like making rings interlock right infront of our eyes. making a helicopter and a plane (yes real size one) appear in a split second. appearing in the audience out of no where. 1.5hr show worth every cent of it! and he hangs around after the show to sign tickets and take pictures! cool~

Another crazy place not to be missed. M&Ms world. 4 storys of nothing but M&Ms. Total nuts! 40 over colours of those chocs we all love and merchandise of all sorts. happiest place during the day. (cos at night the lights are up and the hotels will be more colourful. wahaha)

Next: Grand Canyon. 100s of photos there so i need some time to sort them out. omg~

Shopping!
i've been hearing this alot recently. "Shi, you are back. bought alot of stuff rite?" no... shi did not buy alot of stuff. cos i really have no time. if not $1,200 of shopping is like nothing lor... there is really alot to buy but too little time. boo hoo =(

That's me with all the shopping bags. We did shopping at 2 outlets, Tanger Barstow and Permium Las Vegas. i'm so amazed i bought all those given i only had 2hrs in each outlet. we were literally running around the place and i was scanning for things to buy. wahaha~

..::Forever 21::..
those are steals man! the dresses below $40 each and the jeans below $20 (all in sgd)! din manage to go to F21 outlets. cannot imagine how cheap that would be. demage was limited cos dear was getting bored waiting for me to try the stuffs... F21 is soo overpriced in Spore. =(

..::Coach::...

Coach is insanely cheap in US. Before the trip i thought i wouldn't buy anything back from Coach. but oppssy... cannot blame me mah, all those for less than 500sgd... =P I will never buy Coach in Spore. Ever.

..::BCBG::..
I so love BCBG!! Esp my jacket. I bought it cos of the crown at the back of the jacket. totally love that. My sister thought it was Juicy cos of the crown. thanks sis, but nope, this is BCBG. =)

..::Aeropostale::..
One of the popular American brands. Typical american man. Always trying to be different from others. hence the outlet doesn have any additional discounts. Wahaha.

..::LeSportsac::..
Found LeSport by chance. wasn't expecting to any but the deal was too good to resist. Bought mei mei the hearts one cos i think its so cute. >.<
Next: Moving away from LA and down to my next state - Vegas!!

Hollywood
Its a pity we only reached Hollywood at night! which means cannot take picture of the "Hollywood" sign cos its too dark to see. and no shopping at Beverly Hills!!! Sobs~ Nothing much really. No diff from the normal streets other than the stars on the walkway.

We were lucky enough though. Did see some stars cos there was some event going on. But then again, i dun recognise any of them - no surprise there. Wahaha~ so see if you recognise any of them. the picture quality is not fantastic cos we were pretty far and the reporters were always blocking my view...

Next: Shopping!!

The demage
Time to do the sums...

Tour + air ticket = $3,073 (fuel and airport tax was $620!!!!)
Passport = $70
Insurance = $40
Food = $120 (baby paid for most of the food, hehe)
Travel + Entertainment = $237
Shopping = $1,250
Hole Burnt = $4,790

Bulk of the shopping went to Coach as you will see later. Others include Guess, LeSport, Forever 21, BCBG, Aldo, Aeropostale, Burberry, CK etc... Luckily there wasn't much time to shop. else the demage would have been greater!!

US trip - Disneyland
Disneyland - the place where dreams come true. Once you step into this place, you will feel happier. somehow but yes, its true. =) Much much bigger than the HK one. 8 worlds in all... But some rides are similar though. to name a few - Space mountain, Buzz Lighteyear, Magic Teacups.

The castle is also the same purple at night, only bigger. Some of the worlds are the same as well, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Fantansyland and of cos Main Street.

My fav - Toon Town! Home to Mickey, Minnie and pals! the whole place looks like toys. Almost feels like walking into a cartoon itself. This is also the place to meet Mickey Mouse hence a must stop! =)

Photos with the characters! HK is better in this aspect. easier to find the characters cos its much smaller with a designated area as well. Disneyland doesn have this, other than for Mickey and Pooh. the rest are really luck.

POOH!!! I walked from one end of the park to the other just to see Pooh! grrr... why must Toon Town and Critter Country be like on opp ends?! But the walk was worth it cos Eeyore and Tiger were bonuses!!! Yippeee~

There are like 101 different shops in Disneyland selling like a gazillion different items~ I almost went mad... the whole concept is pretty smart. Make ppl happy and they will spend more. its really tempting to buy something - anything.

We were totally amused by the amount of hats in this place! omg!! Just look at how many i tried on! Every single one is different. although some looks similar but they are all different. Wahaha, had loads of fun there.
Parade of dreams... Disney is celebrating the Year of Million dreams and hence all very glam floats. Pretty princesses and different characters parade down Main Street in these dazzling floats. Not to be missed. Fireworks display during weekends as well! A Magic Kingdom indeed...

US trip - California Adventure
This is something i din get to see the last time i was in the West Coast. California Adventure is just a sister park of Disney, directly opp Disneyland. the last time i was there, this was still under construction. Slightly smaller than Disneyland but the fun level is still as high!
Have to say, the rides here are much much better than those over at Disneyland. But you dun really feel the magic like that of Disney. Somehow the feeling is different. I was more interested in the rides than taking photos with the characters, which explains why there are only 2... whaha, din bother looking for them.

The rides were good though. The roller coaster, California Screamin was super duper! and of cos, i'm not spending 15 usd to print the photo, so we stole the shot off the screen *grinx* My personal fav is the Toy Story Mania though. the Q is disgusting. 40mins but worth every min! We went twice. Yes, it is good! Other superb attractions include the Tower of Terror, Maliboomer and Soaring over California. oh oh, and the ferris wheel swings. Cool~

Like Disney, there's always the parade. CA's is Pixar... Enjoyed it pretty much cos i got to see all my fav Pixar characters. Monster Inc, Toystory etc etc. and they squirt water! Not very good esp when you are trying to take pictures. wahaha~ Disneyland coming up...

US Trip - Universal Studios
one look at the total no. of photos taken and i feel like dying. more than 2500 in total!! insane~ Taking ages to sort out and then select the better ones to post. not forgetting trying to format them etc... pain in the ***

Anyway, here's Universal Studios... Only had half the day to finish this place. Many of which hasn't changed much frm the last time i was there. some of the rides were still the same though they added some new ones as new movies came along... the Simpsons ride is a killer. waited almost 1 hr!! Both Jurassic park and the Mummy is super cool too~ Lucky us, no queue that day.

I would recommend to do the tours and shows more than the rides... a must-do is the Studio Tour! Brings us round the studio to visit sets where movies and shows were made. also shows us some superb effects which are commonly used. only one word to describe - impressive.

another interesting show is Waterworld. be sure to look out for get wet seats, cos really may get soaking wet woh~ hee =)

Who knew they had Bubba Gump there too?!?! Happy happy! and we were lucky enough to see the shrimp there too and took a pic! Cajun Shrimps and prawn pasta... the Cajun shrimps were yummy!! Pasta, so-so...
