I'm starting to appreciate the amt of free time i am having now. Although there is really nothing to do during the day (other than meeting ppl for lunch), i have more time to meet up with frens during the nite and on weekends. And it is only now that i realise how precious weekends are. How on earth did i survive the past 1.5 yrs?!?! hahaha
Finally met up wif my roomie after so so long... Miss you loads~ we decided to give Shokudo a shot, having heard soo much abt it. and the queue is always super duper long! there was alr a queue at 7.30pm on a weekday! Come 8pm the queue is alr super super long.... and sorry, no reservations. Wahaha this is the power of freedom!
The food bazzar is pretty much Marche, jap style (there's another pizza and pasta outlet). Everyone is given a card to use when ordering food (very much like Marche) and there is this "reserved" token to place on the table. High class version of the tissue paper style. whaha
The serving is not very big. We had 3 dishes in all... the soup was too sweet for our liking. the Unagi too watery, only the fried udon was ok... The food is not wonderful and slightly overpriced. Over hyped in our opinion. Dissappointed, we headed to Menotti for dessert... Their desserts are super good in my opinion, esp the warm choc cake! omg!!! but we were more in the mood for ice cream hence giving tt a miss =(

Updated my bank book tdy and boy was i surprised to see tt my bank balance actually went UP!! and i am suppose to be unemployed for two months? all this after paying off my credit card bills, insurance fees and parking fees. and i am NOT living off baby or my parents FYI. now, who says one has to live off savings?? wahaha, so proud of myself!!!
Then again, this is only possible if there is CNY every month and you slog like hell for 1.5 yrs so that you can encash lotsa OT & AL. lalala, i so love CNY!!
bumming is unhealthy. Very unhealthy.... makes a person tired out easily... looking at spreadseets more than 30 mins now makes me super tired... the brain doesn quite think, trying to think of wad to do makes me tired. whaha
and worst of all, bumming leads to lotsa surfing... and lotsa wants on the net... here's to list a few...
1. Bags. A ger has unlimited number of bags. and i am one such ger. lastest targets includes...
LV and Gucci!! hee... this is my limit, cannot think of any more expensive brands. why am i not rich??
2. Handphone. My Samsung is so dying on me... the battery life sux seriously. Thinking of going back to Sony Ericsson, but the designs are not exactly fantabulous, though i totally love the Cybershot technology. Sighs, confused.
3. Laptop. Since being jobless, i pretty miss my lappie... My desk is not exactly the best to move around. Neither is fighting for my sister's labtop any more fun. And it doesn help that there are so many PINK laptops around now!! *tempted*
4. Camera. Ever since my cute little camera died on me, i haven found a decent replacement for it. Pink cameras are pretty expensive and not exactly worth it just for the colour... So i'm still unsure which one i wanna buy... but canon seems like a pretty good choice. hee..
A little math and the above easily adds up to around $4k... I will work hard to save the money! tell me again, why am i not rich? sighs...
I love CNY! although its always the same year in year out... but i still like it, cos of the ang baos =P

the usual gathering at my uncle's place.... the traditional HUGE lou hei... (there are 6 cans of abalone in there!)

Not forgetting the usual cam-whoring with my beloved sisters and little neices... (ok not so little anymore) i totally understand why the older folks like to say "wah da liao woh, hen kuai leh" s**t, is this a sign tt i'm getting old too? wahaha
Decided to catch a movie with my cousins after dinner... Had to go to JP tough, cos all of my cousins stay in the west -_-" the show was not too bad, though i seriously dun understand why it cost so much and took so long to produce. I wan a pet like CJ7 tooo!!!! So damn cute *bite*

The usual going to my god-parents' place. (yes i alr said CNY is the same yr in yr out) this is where i realised that i AM getting old... sheesh. their grandchildren are like so big alr! But i need to agree, children = trouble! 2 little ones running around the hse and grabbing anything they can get their hands on. super handful, though still super cute!

Met Gen & Rong at Paul's place. still love their hse though this is like the 3rd or 4th time there. Oh and this is also the first time i gambled this CNY. won abit from black jack at Paul's place and a little from mahjong at Xiao yu's place.
Had our yearly steamboat at home cos this yr's reunion dinner was spent in a restaurant outside. stil prefer my home-cooked steamboat dinner though. reunion dinners are over priced and the service is really crap... Cos i was rushing to go over to Xiao yu's place for MJ, i forgot to take pictures of the food! =( but baby brought 2 cans of abalone to jia liao. hee =) over dose of abalone this CNY.

No pictures today... followed baby to his fren's place for lunch. then played MJ.... and lost! better luck next time i hope. din really get to MJ much this year... sighs. missing MJ with my auditoresses!! Toast to a happier CNY 09!
