Finally had the time to re-do my blog... after 2 years, its finally time to say good bye to my old blog. and hello to this new look!

Two whole weeks of gluing to the TV has come to an end.... No more Olympics till 4 yrs time. Sobz.... If you thought you were mad gluing your eyes to the tv, just like me. Pls meet my sister.

Towards the last few days of the women's artistic gymnastics, my sister decided she would miss the comp so much, she decided to take pictures off the tv!! =_=

Yes, all these and many more were taken off the tv screen when they can actually be found on the net. crazy sister... wahaha... realised that most of the pics are actually of Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin, both gymnasts from USA. well, that's becos we are crazy over them!! wahaha... Shawn is so cute and small, and Nastia is so pretty!! Below is my fav pic!!!

We were packing our books over the weekend and found these...

Books that we used to love when we were in Primary school and lower sec!! Sweet Valley, Babysitter Club, RL Stine, Goosebumps.... Used to visit the library every week just to get my hands on the newest book from the series. Wahaha~ Brings back memories...

Digging more and we found even older books!! these are like pre-school or something?!?!? Enid Blyton and lady bird! OMG! Some of them may even be older than my youngest sister. Sheesh~ Wonder wad other stuffs there are at home...

Our team's entry for the cupcake making competion...

Where are the cupcakes?? This is the qn all the judges asked. So let's look at the whole process of making this big "cupcake"

From the ingredients, moulding the icing, laying the grass and cupcakes (now you see them) to placing the icing on top (now you don't) and painting the flag... the entire process took one night minus getting the cupcakes. tiring but super duper fun!!

Story behind the theme - the flag rep Singapore and the grass, our green city. there are little soldiers on the grass, which is meant to show how the men protects our country. not very visible cos they are suppose to be hiding, like the way NS men do. and together, we have a safe home to live in!! and let's not forget our very "action" helicopter... it carries a little flag and flies around our cupcake. like the one at our NDP... hohoho

Happy Bank Charges team!! The most "action" team ever! Wahahaha~

And the winning entry!! Totally think they deserved to win, cos everything is hand-made and you still can smell the cupcakes, fresh out of the oven. Our "action" helicopter and hidden cupcakes got runner-up tgt with the ERP one. Think we got a better prize though. cos the winner got Godiva chocs while we got cash. wahaha~

Happy Birthday Singapore!! No tix to watch the parade this year. So we could only catch the fireworks at the Esplanade area... OMG! no idea there were gonna be sooooooo many ppl. families actually bring food and mats and god noes what time they reach, just to get a good spot. Even when it rained, everyone just took out their umbreallas, all prepared - rain or shine.

The usual helicopter holding our huge flag, parachuters and Black Knights... then came this yr's special - the huge heart! i was just waiting for this... hee =)

I was bored waiting, so took many shots of our Spore skyline. actually Spore is really pretty eh? Like the evening shots the most cos of the red sky...

Fireworks!! the fav of everyone. Once the shooting started, everyone jumped up from their seats and started snapping those cameras. Nothing very special abt this year's display. only the ones with a "S" but it was so smokey by then, the S is not very obvious. haha

This is my fav!! Feels as though everyone is being blessed by the stars falling down. Raining love...

Part 5 @ Sushi Teh

Funny Xiao yu. He couldn't believe he forgot my bday, when i din even blame him... hahaha... anyways, met him for dinner at my fave jap rest - Sushi Teh. Love the food there. cheap and good. =)

But the queue is forever! it wasn't even fri or wkends but we had to wait abt 45 mins for a table for 2!! craziness. must have been the wait cos we really ordered quite alot of food.

Yummy mango prawn and Hotate Misomayo! I was too hungry to take pics of the rest.. but the Soba is behind the prawn.. wahaha.

While waiting for the bill i saw the mirror opp and decided to take a pic from where we were. my camera is power! no flash and so far but the pic turned out pretty ok. =)

Part 6 @ Sushi Teh - again

Hee, i really love Sushi Teh eh? twice in a week. but i really dun mind... like the food there. hee. This time it was with my dearest girlfriends!!! had a pretty round table to ourselves. Sushi Teh @ Raffels City is just pretty pretty. =)

Our whole table of food!! Yummy yummy! My fav sashimi salad and see my Hotate Misomayo at the back again? i really heart it!! yummy yummy!

Snapping time with the food!! Think we spent more than 2 hrs there, catching up and all. haha, our money is hard to earn ehs? Only left cos we needed the washroom!

Last sun was suppose to be another tai-tai mahjong training session but gen was not feeling well last min. =( Hope you are well now babe. must go org a make-up session! hahaha...

Anyways, the other 3 of us decided to do the next tai-tai thing - High tea. hoho~

Paisley & Cream

Met at Clarke Quay's Paisley & Cream cos i was having dinner there. Always wanted to go there cos i think the place is so pretty!! Thanks dar and love for accompaning me!! Love you~

We had tea (duh~), pretty cupcakes, blueberry pancakes and potato salad. the food.... so-so. not fantastic. liked the potato salad the most. pancakes were abit saltish and cupcakes, nothing special.

Pretty place!! *heart* the place was empty so we could take the prettiest corner in the whole shop! the place is usually full house at night. prob cos its such a small place.

The very very pretty cupcakes. Nice to see, not too nice to eat. wahaha~ Lesson 1 of tai-tai training passed! wahaha

Part 1 @ Marmalade Pantry

Many thanks to Dar and Love!! Love you gals!! Thanks for the wonderful lunch.

We ordered the Crab Caesar, Spaghetti Alio Olio with Pork Neck and Chilli, Nutella Cupcake and the dessert which i cannot rem the name. hee =) My fav is the Caesar!! Generous serving of crab meat, though there's this seafood smell at first, but after a while its gone. The spaghetti is just very expensive roast pork really. but still yummy, though expensive. Heart the desert too!! but found the famous cupcake so-so only. the other one is much better. =)

Part 2 in office

Many thanks to my lovely colleagues! It was really a surprise, esp the cake!!! Yummilicious white choc and macadamia nut cake from Secret Recipe, and its sooo pretty! And million thanks for all the gifts too! Piglet family is sooo cute and i love the Kimmidoll and dumbo mouse (not in pic), cos they are PINK! wahaha...

My desk with my gifts (minus the flowers which are frm baby) frm my beloved colleagues. Love you guys and gals!!

Part 3 @ Kuishinbo

Yummy food! Simply heart Kuishinbo!! but somehow i think the standards has dropped. not as yummy as i rem it to be. but nvm, still enjoyed myself with baby there. Esp rushing for the hourly specials. sooo..... Singaporean. Hahaha...

Really liked the fish, but too many bones. and the lobster... abit small though. dessert not too bad, but got banana. yikeess. But, sashimi is GOOD. i had like a whole plate of them. *Slurp* Thanks dear!!

Part 4 @ home

Cutie sisters decided not to buy me a cake this year. so instead they bought me a dozen of donuts!! ok the holes there were eaten by my mum cos she couldn resist the temptation of the pretty donuts. wahaha. i chose to blow my candle with the mint donut. yummy!! Heart sisters!!
