girls make great economists
I'm puzzled... what is a recession? What happens during a recession?

the headlines hogging Yahoo! finance are as follows:
- Retail sales, wholesale prices fall again in Nov
- layoffs continue as recession deepens
- so and so company to cut xxx jobs
etc etc...

BUT! In spore, i see that retail is totally unaffected... the queues at LV, Gucci and Coach are still horrible!! where is the recession? To quote my fren "girls are totally not affected by the recession" its either we dun feel it or we are all very good with econs. cos during recessions, we are suppose to spend to boost the economy. go figure.

on a totally different note, the guys are so feeling the recession. my bf included. "cut dwn on eating at restrauants" he tells me. another fren goes "recession liao, no money, eat cheaper stuff can" omg! girls, pls educate your bfs... wahahaha~
