Jap affair
Baby's treat - Gyu Kaku @ Chijmes

A jap BBQ restaurant which uses charcoal to bbq!! Located at a cosy corner of Chimes, the food is just splendid! Not a very big place, so reservations are strongly recommanded, unless you reach there before 7. the stove is pretty small, so can't cook much at one go (i.e gotta stay there for pretty long)

Our food!! The meats include P- Toro Spicy Miso (pork) which was very good and spicly shiock.. Prime Venison, which I didn't really loved, maybe we din noe how to cook it, but it was rather tough. The best was the Wagyu beef and its just SUPERB. We had the Oyster Blade, a cut which i never heard of, but its very good. Yummilicious but like the charcoal, burns a hole in the pocket. hahaha. One small plate costs like $16.50 before tax.

Also ordered the mixed mushrooms, pumpkin (which took ages to cook) and the superbly huge scallops! Never seen such big scallops before. *droolz*

My treat - Sushi Tei @ Taka

My turn to treat, but i am poor, so can only go to Sushi Tei. hahaha.. Loved the Tsukune Kaminabe in spicy base!! not very spicy but the base is good... not as salty as the miso base. And we ordered this crab thing, which i cannot remember wad its called. It has crab meat (though very little of it) with cheese, cream and pasta. Suprisingly not very gelat, maybe cos the serving is quite small and the two of us shared.

The sashimi salard is also good! together with the Sushi Tei dressing and fresh sashimi.... perfect. we were too excited to eat, i forgot to take a pic of it. i figured i made a pretty good deal. Gyu Kaku vs Sushi Tei. wahaha...

Truely a jap affair, and i loved every bit of it! =)
