the only thing i miss abt China
After coming back from Lijiang, China i swear i never missed home this much... (dar i so understand why u hate China now) Not only did I not get to stay in Banyan Tree, (TSE, stop laughing) our experience at the international airport seriously sucks! OMG~ but that's for another time... This post is for the only thing i miss abt Lijiang - the food @ Banyan... who says that not staying there means cannot enjoy? haha

Our first dinner at the Western restaurant. The restaurant is called Ming Yue btw, how ironic eh? Western rest wif Chi name... wahahaha. acutally all the rest and cafes have very 诗情画意names i will say. The western one being called Ming Yue, the chinese one Bai yun and the bar, wen hai.... wonder who came up wif such names... hee

Anyway, we blew a hefty S$150 on this first dinner. The food is really overpriced (and small portion) if you ask me. but it is GOOD! I seriously love the steak and the bread! The three of us concluded that the best food in the restaurant is the bread!! Hence the focus of every meal. =P

All the other food we tried during our 6 day stay there... One can only guess how much we chalked up in all. And all you see here is only MY share of the food, and this is not all, cos i din take photos during a few meals cos my battery died on me. *^&%$

The ha-gao (shrimp dumplings) in the second pic are the most expensive ones i ever had in my entire life! S$10.50 for 3?!?! and thats before tax and svc charge!! The drinks are reasonable though. My Pina Colada and Shirley Temple is only S$12 each before tax. My fav is still the Cheesecake (3rd pic). It is damn good! better than any i had in Spore. But it is super ex lar. S$17.00 for that small piece. See why i say the stuff are overpriced?

Special mention for the veggie-look alike thing. It is called ceasar salard!! Imagine the shocked looks on all our 3 faces when it arrived?? Who has seen such a "unique" ceasar salard? All 3 of us immediately took out our cameras and started snapping non stop. Think the waitress must have thought we were mad.

Our last dinner at Bai Yun. I seriously prefer the food at the chi restaurant. I think it is much better =) this meal costs i think near S$150 too... the Beijing duck is GOOD!! super super heart. But the seafood fried rice (not featured) still gets my vote for the best dish. =)

More posts to come... hee
